Michel & Nico started where their lives did, in sport. Two guys from south of France with a camera and a network built on rugby pitches. Early work with Red Bull and brands gave them their language: raw, physical, honest.
But what kept pulling them wasn't the competitions. It was the people in it. The obsession. The kid who practises alone until dark. The athlete who cries not because they lost, but because it mattered that much.
From there, the lens widened naturally, children, families, real people genuinely lost in something they love, underdogs. Their films have featured world-class athletes and complete unknowns, and often you can't tell which is which. That's the point. If a project has passion at its heart, Michel & Nico are the right people for it.
In ten years, their work has earned a Young Directors Award Gold, Kinsale Gold, British Arrows, 1.4, AICP recognitions among others — including Oscar-qualifying awards for short film they made with their own kids.
Today, alongside their commercial work, they are developing their first feature film. Real people, youth, 90s energy, and a lot of honest adventures…
